The scenarios of micropolitics: collective action, local societies and encompassing power (6th-12th centuries)

The aim of ESMICRO is to analyse the micro-politics of early medieval local societies, understood as the set of social and political practices that shaped social relations at a local scale and were articulated around customary and key norms. For this it will focus primarily on the scenarios in which they unfolded. With this ESMICRO seeks to better understand how local landscapes were imbued with political meaning and their role as social arenas that both framed collective action at the local level and also provided an avenue for the intervention of external actors. You can read more about the project here.

ESMICRO is a LOCSOC project
